Parts of Africa can be spectacular from the ground but often going up higher can take your breath away. It is from the air that many sights come in to their own: the short hops around the Okavango Delta in Botswana, the vast deserts and features in Namibia, the escarpments and mountains all along the African Rift in Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda to name just a few. Helicopter flights, hot air balloon rides and micro lighting are also fun additions to many itineraries.
